Edmund Y. Wun, DDS, FACS

Dr. Wun is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and English Literature.  He returned to his home state of Maryland where he graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery.  Dr. Wun then completed his internship and residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at The Brooklyn Hospital Center.  From there, Dr. Wun spent nine years at Geisinger Medical Center, a level one trauma center in central Pennsylvania.  During his time there, he helped develop and build the Geisinger Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program, where he served as the program director before moving here to the Capital District region. He is privileged at Albany Medical Center, Saratoga Hospital, and Ellis Hospital.  A Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Wun is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  His clinical interests include facial trauma, orthognathic/corrective jaw surgery, treatment of TMJ disorders, alveolar cleft repair, obstructive sleep apnea, treatment of benign pathology, reconstruction, implants, and dentoalveolar surgery.  Dr. Wun is also a board member of the 4th District Dental Society.  In his free time, Dr. Wun enjoys basketball and football and is a life-long fan of comic books and hip-hop.
